Quietude, a photographic exhibition by Maggy Morrissey
20 March 2015The Copper House Gallery launched Quietude, a photographic exhibition by Irish photographer and artist Maggy Morrissey, on Thursday 19th March 2015. Inspired by the seascapes of Ireland and her journeys around Europe, Quietude is Maggy Morrissey's first solo show.
Opening the exhibition photographer Gerry Andrews spoke about the significance of photography as an art form, commending Maggy on the courage of her convictions as a person and also as an artist. It is, he noted, her process of selection that distinguishes her work as mininalist, tranquil and delicate.

6 October 2014An amazing launch was held at The Copper House Gallery, for Out of Thin Air, a photographic exhibition and photobook by Daragh Muldowney, on Wednesday 1st October 2014. Irish photographer Daragh Muldowney set sail to Greenland on board the Killary Flyer in June 2013, to explore the world’s largest island. Out of Thin Air documents this expedition, recording the beauty of these arctic ice sculptures. This exhibition has been kindly sponsored by Canon. Image © Peter Gordon.

10 July 2014An event we look forward to every year is PhotoIreland Festival, a programme dedicated to promoting critical thinking around photography and a deeper engagement with the visual arts. Now in its fifth year, PhotoIreland celebrates a festival every July, promoting by way of a proposed theme, works from national and international artists. The theme for this year's festival being: Truths, Facts, Fictions, Lies.
On Saturday 5th July 2014, The Copper House Gallery launched two beautiful exhibition as part of PhotoIreland Festival 2014 - The Time of Dreaming the World Awake, a photographic exhibition, by PhotoIreland Festival Portfolio Award winner Yvette Monahan and Texas, a photographic exhibition by Kathrin Baumbach.
