We work enthusiastically with artists, museums and galleries to produce beautiful editioned prints from their paintings, illustrations, drawings and all types of mixed media.
The Copper House contains the most advanced editioning equipment in Europe including our Cruse Scanner, a rare device, owned by such institutions as the Guggenheim, the V&A Museum and the Vatican Secret Archive. This device produces images far exceeding the results achieved by photography and conventional flat bed scanners. The digitisation of the original is the first of several steps in our archival process which is strictly controlled for quality at all stages.
We can work with any original, from the most delicate and ethereal of watercolours to the most robust and heavily worked oil colours. We also work with textiles and three dimensional objects. Our Cruse scanner is especially designed to work with fragile and precious artworks and artefacts and can accommodate originals sized up to 6' x 8', pricing here
All of our prints are made under the most rigorous archival conditions and are held worldwide in museums and collections such as the Tate Modern and the Lewis Glucksman Gallery. We produce our fine art editions as both photographic and archival pigment or giclee prints. We stock a very wide range of artists papers from the finest traditional paper mills and can source rare and handmade papers on request.
We have our own range of Fine Art Papers made for us by the leading German mill and so can offer compelling pricing for multiple and edition prints.
Our editions are blind stamped and their provenance is assured by unique number paired holograms, exclusive to us, applied to both the print and the certificate of authenticity. The provenance and ownership of the editioned prints is tracked through our Artlogic database and is a further guarantee of the integrity of our editions.
We welcome discussions with artists seeking to edition their work.
