Once an oil painter, having exhibited throughout Ireland, Ellen originally used photography as a guideline to her paintings. From there her photographical passion grew and eventually took over her artistic interests.

Leaving the paint brushes behind, Ellen began to portray passion and vision through new photographical worlds she had created.

She is now known for her specialized visually striking imagery and her works consist of the beauty of nature meshed with the edginess of hidden emotion.

This contemporary and figurative award winner is best known for her images resembling paintings from an era with heavy dreamscape undertones.
