Rohan has this to say about his work
In my photography, I strive for uncluttered simple compositions where my subjects are isolated from distracting surroundings. I use long exposures to emphasize subjects by smoothing out water and skies. I like to work in Black and White to simplify and abstract scenes but also to let the composition, textures, tones and details breathe.
I love the idea of slowing things downthrough long exposures not just for myself at the scene but for the viewer who doesn’t always have the time to sit back and appreciate his natural surroundings.
I also find that shooting in bad weather can help create more atmospheric images and often find myself under an umbrella with waves and wind crashing around me. It is often on these dark, dull and dreary days that I can create that little bit of light to set off the scene.
