WE WORK, WITH PASSION, TO PROMOTE THE ART AND CULTURE OF PHOTOGRAPHY IN IRELAND
We're working, in partnership with the other major Irish stakeholders, to foster photography and photographic collecting in Ireland. The Copper House is being developed as a national centre for Contemporary Photography with the ambition of housing several thousand images as prints in physical portfolios and held on our servers. We have commissioned a database, powering this website, to provide complete and extensive documentation of Irish photographers and their work. The database will store details of all work moving through the centre and is intended as an archive and research hub.
Access to all of these images will be freely available to curators, collectors, academics and students. The images are available for immediate acquisition and purchase with sales benefiting both the contributing photographers and our development programme.
We provide meeting rooms and workstation suites to facilitate dialogue between photographers and their audience and host a programme of workshops, masterclasses and artist's talks.
The Copper House funds the annual Propeller photography competition for students and is a sponsor and supporter of the PhotoIreland 2012 Festival. We are also partnering Gallery of Photography Ireland in SHOWCASE 2012, a major new Award and development programme.
Our thirty years of experience in photographic and fine art printing gives us a unique expertise which we are delighted to share with any photographer seeking to produce exceptional prints, portfolios or photobooks.
We are also delighted to advise on archival and conservation techniques for fine art and photographic prints. We've been appointed by Conservation by Design to supply their conservation products to photographers and artists in Ireland and hold a wide range of sleeves, portfolio boxes and cases in stock.
